“Being able to speak English increases opportunities in life.” I had an experience that made me truly understand the meaning of this phrase.
One of my English students was going on a business trip to LA. While there, he was given the important task of watching a baseball game at Dodger Stadium and personally delivering a thank-you letter to Shohei Ohtani!
Representing the children at the school that received the donated gloves, my student expressed their gratitude in English—a precious experience made possible by the ability to use English.
